62 Piso-Piso beneficiaries receive land titles

Some 62 Piso-Piso program beneficiaries from Barangays Tumpagon and Mambuaya have been emancipated from the bondage of political control as they got the titles of the lands they are occupying during this morning's Flag Raising ceremony at the city hall.

After more than six (6) months of meticulously evaluating and assessing how different barangays in Cagayan de Oro implemented its proper solid waste management, the Oro Kalimpyo Search Committee together with the Solid Waste Management Board and the City Government of Cagayan de Oro awarded Brgy Tuburan (Hinterland Category); Brgy Canitoan (Sub-Urban Category) and Brgy 22 (Urban Category as this year's Oro Kalimpyo awardees. The winners received P150,000, P200,000 and P150,000 respectively.
For Hinterland Barangay category: Brgy Mambuaya won the second prize with P100,000 cash prize + trophy; Brgy Baikingon, 3rd place with P75,000 cash prize + trophy; Brgy Indahag and Balubal, 4th placers with P10,000 cash prize + certificate.
For the Sub-Urban category: Brgy Gusa won 2nd place with P150,000 cash prize + trophy; Brgy Tablon 3rd place with P100,000 cash prize + trophy; Brgy Kauswagan 4th place and Brgy Bugo 5th place with P20,000 cash prize + certificate each.
For Urban category: Brgy 24 won 2nd place with P100,000 cash prize + trophy; Brgy 23 3rd prize winner with P75,000 cash prize + trophy; Brgy 25 and Brgy 27 4th and 5th prize winners with P20,000 cash prize + certificate.###

DSWD 10 turns over P2.5M checks for 4Ps sustainable dev’t programs

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 10 yesterday has turned over several checks worth P2.5 milllion intended for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries from eight barangays in Cagayan de Oro City.

The financial assistance is under the auspices of the agency’s Sustainable Dev’t Program, in collaboration and partnership with the administration of Mayor Oscar Moreno through the City Social Welfare and Development Office headed by CSWD Officer Teddy Sabuga-a Jr.

The recipient barangays are F.S. Catanico (P300,000), Tagpangi (P300,000), Agusan (600,000), Camaman-an (P300,000), Iponan (P250,000), Lumbia (P250,000), Pagatpat (P300,000) and Tignapoloan (P280,000).

Recovering Drug Dependents Undergo Basic Micro Enterprise Training

This was pointed out by Mayor Oscar Moreno during the last day of Basic Micro Enterprise Training for the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) participated by Recovering Drug Dependents (RDDs) from Barangays 25 and 26 this morning, Dec. 12, 2017.

The 45 RDDs also received cash assistance from the city government through the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) as a start-up capital for their livelihood.
