“We endeavored to include everything that you can think of within reason, but we can only spend what we can afford,” Mayor Oscar Moreno told members of the City Development Council during its full council meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Chali Beach Resort in barangay Cugman, this City.
The mayor’s appeal came after the CDC favorably approved the 2019 Annual Investment Program worth P8.18 billion. Of the amount, economic development services sector got the biggest chunk with P3.57 billion; followed by social development services sector with P2.75 billion, and general public services sector, P1.86 billion.
Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin ‘Kikang’ Uy, Majority Floor Leader Ian Mark Nacayan and City Councilros Enrico Salcedo, George Goking, Teudolfo Lao, Edna Dahino, Yan Lam Lim, Reuben Daba, Ma. Lourdes Gaane, John Michael Seno, Annie Daba and Suzette Magtajas-Daba, barangay chairmen, representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), private sector and academe joined the meeting.
