The deadline of the annual business permit renewal at City Hall has been extended from January 20 to January 31, 2016.

This after City Mayor Oscar Moreno yesterday approved City Ordinance No. 13029-2016 upon the recommendation of City Treasurer Dr. Glenn C. Bañez.

Mayor Moreno’s move is in support to the request of various local business groups to extend the deadline of the business permit renewal.

Last year, Mayor Moreno also extended the renewal until January 31 to give businessmen ample time to renew their business permits. Based on the Local Government Code, the deadline is supposedly set every January 20.

BOSS also opens every Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

When the extended deadline lapses on January 31, the City Treasurer’s Office will now impose 25% surcharge and 2% penalty to late filers.
