Cagayan de Oro City Hall lit up its Executive Building in rainbow colors for the first time Friday evening (June 27) to signify its support to the city’s LGBTQIA+ community.

 

The lighting ceremony is an initiative of the City Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System and is in line with the annual celebration of Pride Month every June.

 

Also presented on stage were the flags representing the LGBTQIA+ community. City Hall employees, many of whom are advocates of LGBTQIA+ rights, joined the event to show solidarity.
