The creation of a Solid Waste Management Department was raised during the third

Monday afternoon (July 21) session of the 21st City Council at their Session Hall.

 

The proposal to create the department was raised in a special report by Councilor Enrico Salcedo who chairs the council’s environment committee.

 

For her part Councilor Joyleen ‘Girlie’ Balaba, who chairs the council’s tourism and sister city relations committee, proposed the use of the Higaonon word 'Maayad' as official greetings in Cagayan de Oro City in her special report.
