THE City Agricultural Productivity Operations Office (CAPOO) is partnering with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the national government’s latest anti-poverty campaign.
The DSWD program dubbed the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program is being conducted through a three-day caravan and one-stop shop event in partnership with CAPOO at the City Tourism Hall.
Bearing the theme “EPAHP: Buklod ng Pamahalaan, Magsasaka, at Mamamayan para sa Kaunlaran”, the event aims to promote food and nutrition security through a series of orientations for the farmer and fisherfolk participants.
The orientation consists of capacity-building initiatives, product exhibits and the distribution of agricultural inputs alongside Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
Partner agencies also include the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI), Philippine Crop Insurance Corp. (PCIC), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Also kickstarting the EPHAP opening program were the Alliance of Cooperative Against Hunger and Poverty (ACAHP), and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). (LRM/CIO Photos by Johnel Neri/ as edited by Tyrone Balhon)
