THE City Health Office (CHO) received the sacred nurses’ lamp from the Philippine Nurses Association on Tuesday, May 12, to mark the celebration of International Nurses Day 2026.

 

Carrying the theme, 'Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives,' the celebration honored the dedication and service of nurses around the world.

 

In honor of the annual event, City Health Officer Dr. Rachel Dilla cited the vital role played by nurses in providing healthcare services to the public.

 

Dilla said Cagayan de Oro City Hall under Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy’s administration recognizes and gives importance to the contributions of nurses, especially those serving at the City Health Office, City Health Insurance Office, city hospitals, and other offices that deployed local nurses.
