THE U16 Girls’ Division team of Cagayan de Oro City emerged as champions in the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) 3x3 Pambansang Tatluhan National Finals, held on June 27-28 at SM Center Muntinlupa.
The champion team, composed of Coach Janeth Yañez and players Vince Amomonpon, Zia Serino, Rendon Justine, and Finals MVP Anika Guia Siao, were recognized during the city’s flag-raising ceremony at the City Hall quadrangle on Monday, July 6.
Cagayan de Oro City Hall under Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy’s leadership gave recognition to the athletes through the City Sports Development Office, represented by Coach Pong Dacoco and City Sports Commissioner Alby Cris Waga, together with members of the 21st City Council.
The SBP Pambansang Tatluhan is a premier nationwide 3x3 basketball grassroots program organized by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) for players aged 16 and under.
