Klarex: Auxiliary teams to boost Oro police force
Each member of the proposed Oro police auxiliary teams that will be created to augment the Cagayan de Oro City Police (COCPO) will be screened and must be college level or graduates in order to qualify, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy said on Monday (July 25).

‘The members of the auxiliary teams will be under the supervision of the police precinct chief and their admission to the team will be dependent on the recommendations of Col. (Aaron) Mandia (Cagayan de Oro City police chief) and Councilor (Romeo) Calizo,’ Mayor Klarex said in Visayan during a press briefing held at the COCPO grounds.
Councilor Calizo chairs the City Council committee on police and public safety.

Mayor Klarex said this three days after he personally accompanied the city police teams along with the Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB) during a late evening inspection of the city’s nightspots.
‘As to who will comprise the Oro police auxiliary teams, we can tap City Hall’s job order employees for that,’ Mayor Klarex said in Visayan.
It was learned that the Oro police auxiliary teams will be comprised of 20 members that will be assigned to each of the city’s police stations. (Text by SC with Photo by Rod Constantino of CIO)
