Written by
The redevelopment of the Duaw Park will begin in 2023, said City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Chedilyn Aissa Dulguime after a coordination meeting with City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy on Monday, November 14, 2022.
According to Dulguime, the Duaw Park will be redeveloped to make it more accessible to the public, and be able to host events such as live music and concerts.

"It needs to be redeveloped. Himoon gyud siya nga real park where people can converge and stay. So more greeneries and better facilities," Dulguime said.

"It’s a park for different purposes. You can use it for exercise, for yoga, for Taichi, for women to bring their children there to play, music at the park, for concerts, for exhibits," she added.

Another part of the redevelopment plan is to change the stairs to ramp and to transfer the tennis court and change it into an activity area or parking lot.
The entrance to the Duaw Park will also be transferred to the tennis court area.

The city tourism head further said that part of the said area will be given to the flower vendors while an information kiosk will also be put up.

However, before they begin the redevelopment plan of the Duaw Park, Dulguime said they will have to conduct consultations and get the feedback of the people, especially those who will be affected in the area.
