The Local School Board (LSB), chaired by City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, has approved an appropriation amounting to P20,541,956 millions for the purchase of the 10,000 square meters lot for Macapaya Integrated School at sitio Macapaya in barangay Camaman-an, this city.

 

This was approved during its regular monthly meeting held at the City Mayor’s Office conference room on Tuesday, October 29 presided by LSB co-chairman and city school division superintendent Dr. Roy Angelo Gazo.

 

Dr. Alicia E. Anghay, focal person on education, cited the urgency of the lot purchase due to the dire situation that the pupils and students are experiencing as they are temporarily holding classes at makeshift classrooms at the basketball court.

 

For this purpose, the board likewise authorized the mayor to sign the Memorandum of Agreement to be entered into by and between the seller and the Department of Education-Cagayan de Oro. (CIO/photos by Kim Zaldivar)
