Japanese group eyes partnership with Klarex admin on socio-economic projects

Japanese dignitaries paid a courtesy visit to Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy at his office on Monday (Feb. 24) to discuss their initiatives for the city and northern Mindanao.
 
Mindanao—Japan Science and Technology Platform (MJ-STeP) MJ-STeP Founder Toyoaki Miwa and MJ-STeP President Yoshiaki Miwa disclosed to Mayor Klarex their plans for partnerships on socio-economic projects with local governments in Mindanao.
 
MJ-STeP currently offers annual scholarships to four researchers wishing to pursue masteral or doctoral degrees in science and technology in Japan.
 
The organization is also keen on setting up partnerships between companies in Mindanao and Japan.
