IN line with Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, the J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYNE) Department, in partnership with the Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, held a successful health lecture on May 20 at the Spruce main office.
The City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy, fully supports this initiative that promotes women’s health.
Spruce, a well-known distributor of global lifestyle brands such as Havaianas and Puma, formally invited JRBGH to deliver the lecture as part of its corporate wellness program.
The lecture was organized for the benefit of Spruce’s female employees, with the goal of raising awareness about cervical cancer and emphasizing the importance of early detection, preventive measures, and available treatment options.
The activity is part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to women’s health and empowerment through community outreach and public health education.
The City Government commends such partnerships that empower women through education and proactive healthcare. (MDS/CIO/Photos Courtesy of JRBGH)
