CAGAYAN de Oro City Hall through their City Agricultural Productivity Operations Office (CAPOO) spearheaded the local observance of the 62nd Fish Conservation Week (Sept. 16-17) which carried the theme ‘Pangisdaang Masagana, Sapat na Isda sa Bawat Pamilya’ (Bountiful Fishing. Sufficient Fish For Every Family)’ for this year.
CAPOO’s Aquatic Resources Management Division led the activities for the event in accordance to Presidential Proclamation No. 316. These include an information, education and communication (IEC) campaign on marine ecosystems and sustainable fisheries in four public elementary schools of Barangays Bayabas, Bonbon, Tablon and at the East City Central School.
