CAGAYAN de Oro City plays host to the 2025 Mindanao Infrastructure Summit that kicked off Wednesday (Oct. 22) at the Xavier Sports and Country Club, this city.
During the two-day summit, government infrastructure agencies reported the progress of ongoing projects and highlighted the innovations and challenges of flagship infrastructures in Mindanao including those in the pipeline.
The event gathered more than 400 stakeholder-participants from the academe, government, private companies, non-government and professional organizations, and local governments across Mindanao.
The summit was graced by Honorable Secretary Leo Tereso A. Magno of the Mindanao Development Authority; City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas, who represented Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy; USec Janet Lopoz, MinDA Executive Director, along with Oro Trade and Investment Promotions Center (Oro-TIPC) headed by its Department Manager John Asuncion.
Some of the VIPs and guests include Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co; Antonio Miguel Alcantara, CEO of Alcantara Power Group; Mr. Baba Takashi, JICA Phils. Country Director; SPDA Administrator (former Congressman) Gerry Salapudin; Mr. Gonzalo Buboy Go, PNOC Director, and others.
As the host, Cagayan de Oro City displayed a booth with promotional collaterals to showcase the city's tourism and investment opportunities to the delegates through the Oro-TIPC.
The summit is organized by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA). It aims to highlight the innovations and discuss the challenges related to flagship infrastructure projects in Mindanao.
