SOUTH East Asian (SEA) Games qualifier Ruelle Canino of Cagayan de Oro City paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy on Monday, (Nov. 10) at City Hall or 10 days ahead of her Nov. 20 schedule at the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

 

Ruelle, hailed as the 'Queen of the Chessboard,' earned six gold medals in last month’s Batang Pinoy 2025 competition in General Santos City en route to a first runner-up spot overall in individual rankings.

 

Ruelle will represent both Cagayan de Oro City and the Philippines in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games. 'Happy ko kay nagdala ko ug garbo sa atong syudad, labi na sa akong pamilya.'
