THE City College of Cagayan de Oro led by their president Dr. Jestoni Babia successfully concluded the ASEAN Conference on Extension for Sustainable Development Goals (ACES) Summit 2025 at the City Tourism Hall on Saturday, Nov. 29.

This year’s summit which carried the theme ‘Bridging Education and the Community for Sustainable Futures in Southeast Asia,' is supported by Cagayan de Oro City Hall under Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy’s leadership.

Stakeholders joined plenary discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions and project presentations that centered on the crucial role of higher education institutions in promoting community-centered extension programs that are aligned with localizing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Capping the summit is the ceremonial signing of an agreement to formalize multi-sectoral collaboration and a collective call for stronger partnerships toward sustainable, resilient communities.

The 2025 ACES Awards also honored outstanding initiatives under the categories of People, Planet, and Prosperity, recognizing institutions and individuals whose work demonstrated excellence, inclusivity and lasting impact. (MDS/CIO/Photos by: Reynan Baylin/CIO)
