Aside from outlining the Klarex administration’s accomplishments for the past year, the mayor’s office as headed by chief of staff Sheila Lumbatan picked their ‘Employee of the Year’, Giselle Ngoho Galindo, from a list of eight nominees.

 

In a video reel, the mayor’s office listed the number of Kagay-anons served during the Klarex administration’s flagship programs for the year:

People’s Day: A total of 10,427 individuals were served.

 

Kasalan ng Bayan: 745 couples tied the knot under the city’s mass wedding program.

 

Burial Assistance: 1,626 families received support in times of grief.

 

Medical and Financial Assistance: 6,854 beneficiaries were aided.

 

Through these programs along with the weekly ‘Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo’, thousands of city residents availed of City Hall’s services straight in their communities, fulfilling Mayor Klarex’s pledge to ‘ipaduol ang gobierno sa katawhan og ang katawhan ipaduol sa gobierno (bring government close to the people so the people can get close to the government).’

 

The mayor’s office also highlighted the partnerships forged between City Hall and the private sector stakeholders that made possible major events like the Chinese New Year, 75th Cagayan de Oro City Charter Day, Higalaay Festival, and December’s Pasko de Oro.

 

Speaking in behalf of Mayor Klarex, official spokesman Jann Guillmore Actub credited City Hall’s bureaucracy for their support and dedication to implementing Mayor Klarex’s programs for the people of Cagayan de Oro, saying the public can expect better, expanded services in 2026.
