FOR its last regular Monday afternoon (Jan. 26) session for January this year, the 21st City Council approved the annual budgets of several barangays and accreditation of transport groups along with P33 million worth of farm to market road projects in Barangays Bugo and Cugman.
Approved resolutions and ordinances were the ff:
1. Proposed Resolution Nos. 2026-219 and 2026-220 declare as operative in their entirety, effective on the dates fixed therein, Barangay Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2026 of Barangay Baikingon with an estimated income of P8,688,604.00 and Barangay Ordinance No. 002-12, Series of 2025 of Barangay Puntod with an estimated income of P28,510,420.00, covering their respective Annual Budgets for CY 2026.
2. Proposed Resolution Nos. 2026-221 to 2026-224 declare as operative in their entirety, effective on the dates fixed therein, the Sangguniang Kabataan resolutions covering the CY 2026 Annual Budgets of Barangays Pigsag-an (P484,949.00), Dansolihon (P1,261,472.00), Nazareth (P2,240,707.00), and Macabalan (P2,816,049.00).
3. Proposed Resolution No. 2026-225 re-accredits the Cogon Agora Motorela Operators and Drivers Association (CAMODA) and RBMC 29 CDO and Sub-Urban, Inc. as Civil Society/People’s Organizations for membership in local special bodies pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-060 and the 1991 Local Government Code.
4. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-185 grants exemption from payment of amusement tax to The Xavier Stage of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan for its theatrical play ‘Agatha Christie’s 10 Little Indians’ to be staged on February 23-28, 2026 at the Little Theater, Xavier University.
5. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-186 authorizes the City Mayor of Cagayan de Oro to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines-Cagayan de Oro Campus for the clinical training of its Doctor of Medicine students at JR Borja General Hospital.

6. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-187 authorizes the City Mayor of Cagayan de Oro to sign a Deed of Donation and Acceptance with the Department of Health covering the donation of one unit of Thermal Ablation Medical Equipment for JR Borja General Hospital.
7. Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-188 authorizes the City Mayor of Cagayan de Oro to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Undertaking with DPWH-CDOC 2nd District Engineering Office for the implementation of CY 2025 Farm-to-Market Road projects in Barangays Bugo and Cugman with a total project cost of P33,000,000.00.
