36 HOG RAISERS IN SAN SIMON WHO ARE AFFECTED IN ASF NAKADAWAT CASH ASSISTANCE GIKAN SA SYUDAD

36 farmers in Barangay San Simon received some indemnification cash assistance from the city after some backyard piggies were affected by African Swine Fever.
Each one received P2, 000 per pig that was cull thinking of the indemnification fund in the city to the affected backyard hog raisers and it costs P274, 000.00 for the 137 pigs that were culled.
Paul Douglas Calingin, Officer-in-Charge of the Agricultural Productivity Office (APO) yesterday, February 16, 2021, the people at the City Veterinary Office took blood samples from the pigs in Barangay Agusan and Pagatpat ug I just waited for the result.
While today February 17, another blood samples of pigs from Barangay Lumbia, Upper Puerto, Bugo, and Macasandig (Buena Oro) were taken.
The people of APO and City Vet in Barangay Baikingon are already profiling after they said that they are positive in ASF.
Checkpoints have been plastered again to watch out not only the pigs in the city but also those from other places entering Cagayan de Oro are also included.
Mayor Oscar Moreno announced during the press briefing today that his Executive Order is ready to strengthen the different checkpoints in the city. (ALR)
