Congratulations to the City Government of Cagayan de Oro under the leadership of Mayor Oscar S. Moreno for having been chosen as National Winner in the ‘Healthy Pilipinas Awards for Healthy Communities 2022’ under sexual and reproductive health award category.
The city’s winning entry is entitled: “Maximizing Social Media Platform in Meeting the Demand Generation (Adolescent Health and Development) Challenges During the Covid-19 Pandemic”.
The centerpiece of the award is the Adolescent Health and Development Program (AHDP) that aims to promote the total well-being of the city’s young people—particularly those in school, the community-based youth, and the out-of-school youth—by delivering crucial and critical information on adolescent sexuality in the hopes of preventing teenage pregnancy and other sexual and non-sexual risky behaviors in the midst of the pandemic.
