Mandate

The City Accountant’s Office takes charge of the accounting and internal audit services of the city. It prepares and submits financial statements to the Chief Executive and the Sangguniang Panlungsod. The creation of the office under RA No. 7160, Local Government Code of 1991 aimed at effective and efficient management of government funds and properties against loss or wastage.

To provide timely and accurate financial information; To perform judiciously its mandates and functions in accordance with RA 7160.

  • Issues Payslips for Employees, Contractual and Job Orders
  • Issues Remittance Certifications for GSIS, HDMF, PhilHealth, BIR, Banks and Cooperatives
  • Facilitates processing of Salaries, Wages & Other Claims
  • Facilitates processing of documents (Contracts, Utilities, Payment to Suppliers/Contractors)
Barangay Accounts
  • Facilitates recording of Barangay transactions (80 Barangays)
  • Issues Statement of Income & Expenditures
  • Issues Accountant’s Certification for the cash and cash related accounts
  • Issues Certifications of Unappropriated Surplus, Status of Cash Advances and Availability of Funds
