Both City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy and Vice Mayor Jocelyn ‘Bebot” Rodriguez called for unity in serving the people of Cagayan de Oro City in separate messages during Monday’s flag-raising ceremony at City Hall.

‘Nalipay ko nga nakig-uban ang bag-ong konseho sa dakbayan nga gipanguluhan ni Bise Mayor (Jocelyn) Bebot Rodriguez (I’m happy that we are joined by the new City Council headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez),’ Mayor Klarex said, while asking the council to present a united front to the public and support his administration’s programs.

In her short message, Vice Mayor Rodriguez assured Mayor Klarex of the City Council’s support to his administration.

‘Simple lang akong message. We will be supporting the mayor so long as he will be supporting the people of Cagayan de Oro. That is the only reason that I will be joining the mayor in supporting his programs so long as I’m sure na para ni sa katawhan sa dakbayan sa Cagayan de Oro,’ she said.
