Officials from Japanese companies Gasus Co., Hitachi Transport Co., and Unexplored Co. paid a courtesy visit to Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy Monday morning, September 19, 2022.

The courtesy call is part of the Japanese officials' two-day visit in Cagayan de Oro City from September 19 to 20 to explore business opportunities related to industrial waste and recycling.

 

 

The visit is a result of the Seeds and Needs webinar series from October 2021 to April 2022. This webinar series was co-organized by the Office of the Consul General of Japan in Davao with the City Government of Cagayan de Oro through the Cagayan de Oro Trade and Investment Promotions Center (ORO-TIPC).

 

Apart from the courtesy call with Mayor Klarex Uy, the Japanese officials also attended a meeting with the City Council Committee on Environment and the department managers and consultants of the City Local Environment and Natural

Resources Offices (CLENRO), the Office of the City Engineer, the Office for Community Affairs (OCA), the Hapsay Sapa Waterways Management Program, and the East and Westbound Terminals and Public Markets (ETWPM).
