The Impala Youth Organization (Imburnal Palawan Youth Organization) has initiated a relief effort primarily for the LGBTIQ residents in Barangay Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro City.

 

“Kani nga proyekto tabang sa mga miyembro sa LGBTIQ community nga naapektuhan sa COVID-19 pandemic,” said project director and youth adviser Noah Achas Langeras.

 

The group received over Php7,000 worth of donations from various sponsors and they used the money to distribute care packages to more than 50 households yesterday, May 7, 2020.

 

Each relief pack contains canned goods, instant noodles, shampoo, toothpaste, and bath soap.

 

The organizers plan to hold the second wave of their relief effort to help more people in their community.
