“As an active member of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Canitoan,  I and my colleagues have been addressing this pandemic through a campaign called Bahay Ko Ligtas Ako Challenge, which include activities like #KwenTula (a spoken word poetry that encourages the youth to express their thoughts on the importance of staying at home), #VLOGgingNasaBahay (Documenting their daily routines during home quarantine via volgging), and #PintaKulay (Poster and Slogan Making Contest).

We also reached out to our Youth With Disabilities by ensuring that relief goods are allocated for them.

Another project we co-initiated with the Barangay Council is MEALS ON WHEELS, a Barangay Mobile Kitchen. To date, our efforts have successfully reached 2,800 households.

For me, ang kalabutan sa usa ka kabatan-onan sa iyang fellow youth during these challenging times is magtinabangay by spreading correct information and kindness.

During this crisis, the youth must do what they can in helping others and follow the protocols imposed by the local government.”
